DripFeed Robot Review

I recently purchased DripFeed Robot from Wil and John, and can say that it is a nifty piece of work. It allows you to schedule future tweets to your twitter account. It also allows you to have tweets scheduled to different twitter accounts that you have, all from one central admin panel, that you log into, without sharing your twitter credentials (username and password) with a third party.

As I was an early purchaser, I did discover some issues with it right off the bat that caused me a little consternation. However, after an email to the address provided to me upon purchase, I was able to communicate with Wil, and between the two of us, we were able to sort out the issue and get my installation working as designed.

While it is indeed a great tool for “automation”, there is at least one feature that is lacking. If you have been “twittering” for any length of time, as an internet marketer, you may have noticed that twitter doesn’t much like it if you attempt to post a “duplicate” tweet. Even if some time has passed, more times than not, twitter will not post a tweet that it finds duplicates a immediately prior tweet.

Now don’t get me wrong here, I agree with that. If it weren’t set up like that, we might see nothing but the same tweets, over and over again. So, changing up your internet marketing tweets is suggested, even required.

So, what you do then, is make up a list of tweets, that are not duplicates, but maybe convey the same meaning, or are related to what you’re hoping to express with whichever twitter account that you are “automating”. This is because when you post a tweet, not everyone who is following you will see it. They may not be on, they might miss seeing it because they are following more than a few people, LOL. So, tweets that are similar, but not duplicates, stand a better chance of being seen, and maybe even read.

Now to explain the feature that I think is missing. The ability to “upload” a list of tweets, and to be able to have those tweets scheduled to be posted “randomly” between a set beginning time, and a set end time would really make this an invaluable tool.

I spent a little bit of time creating a list of tweets. I then did something that most probably should NOT do, I examined the database, to see how this was set up, and how to do my own scheduling/uploading. Once I kind of had it figured out, I “coded” my future tweets into a mysql query, with the properly formatted data, and “uploaded” it.

I am NOT going to disclose that twitter account here, but I’m sure with a little effort searching, you might find it. At any rate, with the data that I uploaded to my database, I have seen some good results using this tool.

One other thing… While communicating with Wil, he explained that the issue I had with my installation was being resolved, and that the feature(s) I wanted (along with some that others wanted) were being integrated into a Pro version, which is to be released in the near future. I expect that those who are either purchasers now, or before the Pro version is released, will get a special deal (hint, hint Wil and John)…
