Niche sites can be excellent side projects with the potential to create some good side revenue. Just make sure your site is optimised for the terms people are actually searching for in your niche!

I am using niche marketing myself using my hobby, which is computers. I am getting alot of satisfaction building the site writing the blogs, and I hope that once it is ranking highly, it may even make me some money. Until then, I have the satisfaction of learning a new skill, and as I see traffic increase to my site hopefully, fingers crossed I may give some advice that someone will benefit from.

Niche marketing is not as easy as i think it is. You might be too knowledgeable on the topic of your choice but things like HTML this, FTP that (like you’ve said) are things one must learn first.

See, if you provide good contents in your topic, usefull to the related nichie in the sense it will give you big traffic with money, and you can give the solution for latest problems, for good works you can outsource the skilled persons to give better articles, you should maintain quality in language also.

Working on hobbies related site is pretty easy because you already know the niche. And you can work well then developing the site related to new niche is time consuming moreover you have to work hard to learn the niche. So making money from hobby related site is easy.

Niche sites can really bring in some extra income and you can use all kind of methods with them like cpa, adsense, affiliate networks, amazon. The potential to make money is limitless

This is true, if you have valuable information to sell you can make money. As a consumer the bigger question is, How do you know you are paying and getting quality information? A preview is useless to the seller so there really isn’t a middle ground there.

The beauty of the niche site is that it is heavily focused in one area. Ads are easily targeted and choosing products to see is easy because you know why people are on the site!

Niche sites is a great way to make money online. But the problem when you opt for a niche site is that you need to choose a niche which is very popular to people. When a niche is popular, for sure, a lot of people has written many articles on that as well. So, your chance of getting into page one or page two of Google’s ranking isn’t that good.

there is an almost an infinite number of niches out there but trying to rank against some of the big guns will take some time and effort. they are defiantly not get rich quick schemes and need do require patience.
