How To STOP Information Overload
Something that is helping me, and can more than likely help you too, is a recorded seminar series by David Vallieres called “The BEYOND UNSTUCK Seminar“. A fellow member over at the Rich Jerks Alliance membership site offered me a review copy of this recorded seminar, and I have to say that I am impressed by the content that is delivered in it.
There are times, notice that I didn’t say “there have BEEN times”, when I become STUCK, as it were, in my internet marketing business efforts. I am NOT alone in this. Without naming names, I’ve been participating in too many forums where there are other internet marketers, heck even folks who are marketing “offline”, who have been STUCK too.
One of the common causes of being STUCK?
INFORMATION OVERLOAD

Ready for some straight talk?First… you lack ‘balance’… and that is the key to overcoming information overload.
I fell into it… it was a symptom of information overload that I experienced and you probably are guilty too.
What do I mean by ‘balance’?
Your intake of information probably exceeds your output. You take in information at a greater rate than you’re giving out in terms of ‘action’. If you were in perfect balance, your intake of information, on a daily basis, would be equal to or significantly less than, the amount of time you spent taking action on your Internet money-making projects.
In other words, if you spend 1 hour reading, you need to spend 4 hours working on your business- and I mean WORKING… not laying on the coach watching TV, not walking the dog, not playing video games, not buying stuff for your home office, not ‘surfing’ the net… I mean working.
Writing articles, planning, submitting to search engines, creating new offers, creating new products, writing sales letters, testing new squeeze or capture pages, sending out jv requests and proposals, etc… these are the actions taken by successful marketers – daily.
But, let’s be honest. If you’re experiencing severe information overload, you’re spending a lot of time taking in information and not taking any action, like the above, at all.
Right?
If you ‘balanced’ your information intake with positive, income-producing action you will never experience information overload again.It’s impossible.
Can you see that?
Balance. That’s the key. Try it.
As you can see from the excerpt that I’ve shared above, The BEYOND UNSTUCK Seminar contains some very POWERFUL information! …making money in any niche is NOT easy. It requires work. That’s right, I said it!
Work! (it’s not a bad word!)
That’s what they don’t tell you… success requires you to roll up your sleeve and do something.
Work. Create. Succeed. That’s the formula.
Second, don’t pursue an online business about ‘making money online’ unless that is your passion. Listen carefully, I would be that last person to tell you not to pursue the online ‘money-making’ niche because, to be truthful, it has been very good to me and the market is huge. I read one report that estimates there are 2,000,000 people at any one time online looking for money making information.
And, the market changes so that there is always, new fresh leads coming into the market each month. It’s a good market to be in, but you have to ‘know yourself’… if it’s right for you, then fine. If in your heart you know it’s not, then please, use the marketing knowledge you’re accumulated so far to create a successful business in the area you’re passionate about.
There’s been a long debate about whether anyone starting a business should pick one that is a good, profitable market, or one that you are passionate about.
I think you need both. “Balance”, remember?
You need to be passionate about the niche you go into, but you also need to do your homework and make sure people buy things you want to sell in that market… and that there is enough buying to support you and several competitors. One easy way to do that is by seeing who your competition is, how long they have been in business and what kind of products and prices they are charging.
This isn’t a report on picking profitable markets, so I’ll leave it at that.
