The WINNER (Twitter Experiment, and a $50 Prize)
Friday, 6 February 2009
Hello Extra Cash Systems Weblog Readers!
A few days ago I conducted a contest, a Twitter Experiment, and a $50 Prize, a twexperiment (if you will). For a little while, my TwitPwr link was pushing my “standings” there (on their leaderboard), up quite a bit. The number of hits here on my blog went up too. Of course, the number of comments on that post was WAY more than the comments on any other post here. To the best of my knowledge, the only other post that comes close, is this one about my Money Animal, Is It a Scam review post.
Without further ado, here’s what I did to select the winner of my Twitter Experiment, and a $50 Prize contest:
- I culled from the comments list all of MY comments…
- Then, using those two “lists”, I went over the ones where I said “all of the above…”, and noted them as “eligible”.
- I then took the resulting list, and went down from the point of the already eligible entries, and checked the remaining for eligibility.
- Those that did NOT “retweet” were counted as eligible, to the point where I changed the rules stating that it was REQUIRED.
- The remaining entries were then checked for the “retweets”. Those that did not, were culled.
- I then went over ALL eligible entries at this point, and checked for the “follow” rule, those that weren’t, culled.
- Then, the resulting list of all eligible entries was numbered in the order of date posted, oldest to most recent, my “best” estimation showed there being 37 eligible entries.
- I then used the method I stated I would use to select the winner from that list…
- That entrant was emailed…
- And the WINNER of my “Twitter Experiment, and a $50 Prize contest” is: Nayukii!
Jinny, who is “Nayukii” on Twitter, responded to my email, and has been PAID!
I asked her if she would like a short bio included, when I made this post, and this is her response:
Oh yes, my short bio would be, I am an animation student from Sheridan College in her final year and is working towards completing her final film. I can’t wait to graduate and persue my art career! My interests would be following world news, politics, and Japanese animation. People can view my art on my art blog http://jinnyliang.blogspot.com
Congratulations to “Nayukii” (Jinny), and I hope that you don’t spend that HUGE prize all in one place, LOL!
Be Well!
ECS Dave
