Well that just f’n sucks…
Whoever offers ONLY a 72 hours (3 day) guarantee for an information product, sold via the internet, should very possibly be SHOT! Okay, maybe not shot, but seriously maybe they should reconsider their policy.
Either offer (at the very least) a 30 day guarantee, or NONE AT ALL!
Myself, I’d consider it a basic tenet of doing business, either on the internet (as an internet marketer), or offline… Show some “pride”, or “belief” in what it is that you’re selling, by offering a RISK FREE option to your potential customers. I’m not talking about GIVING something to a customer, then asking them to pay for it IF THEY ARE SATISFIED. I’m talking about charging a reasonable fee for your product, and then backing it up with a MINIMUM GUARANTEE.
I’ll wager that you VALUED READERS of the Extra Cash Systems Weblog are wondering why I am posting this. Well, following on this post here, and because of an issue someone brought up in a paid membership site that I am a member of, I felt I should post/comment/share my thoughts.
One of the more well known internet marketers (if I remember correctly) suggests that you could offer a LIFETIME GUARANTEE. Now, speaking from my own experience, this particular business person does indeed have great products, and sells LOADS of them. They have also had a few folks take advantage of that exceptional guarantee. However, being as their products are so good, those refund requests are few, and far between.
Most of the information products I offer for sale do have, at least, a 30 day MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. A very few do not. As best I can recall, I have had NO REFUND REQUESTS of MY products, guarantee or not. I have had a small number related to some products that I promote as an affiliate. Again however, I said they were few, and I still think the affiliations are good ones.
So, I guess my RANT is done, I’ve calmed down a bit… I still recommend you all read the other post, and “K” (that’s the ONLY reference I’ll make today to whom I am talking about), you should reconsider your policy…
Be Well!
